Pa-Kua and colors
The five elements, along with Pa-Kua’s aspirations, can be used in determining the colors that develop the different areas of the building. You can use these color schemes in many areas related to Pa-Ku in your home or you can place many objects of different colors in their respective areas.
The colors of different regions are as follows-
Estate Sector – Green, Red, Violet, Blue
Fame Zone- Green, Red, Yellow
Marriage Zone – Red, Pink and White
Family Zone – Green, Red, Blue
Child Area – White, Golden
Knowledge Zone – Black, Green, Blue
Business Area – Black, White, Green
Advisory Area – White, Black
Feng Shui states that the changes in the situation come from the interaction of yin and yang. The color of yin is black and its blackness absorbs all the colors while the whiteness of yang reflects all the colours. Yin and Yang balance the five elements and their associated colours. The white color represents the fresh canvas while the black signifies the ‘clean slate’ on which the mind can draw a picture with the colors and shades of colours.
1. Red – energetic, hardworking
Red color is the most powerful of all colors. When we see the color red, we get a strong message. This color is very auspicious. Chinese people consider it the color of happiness and prosperity. It makes the room smaller and the object larger it is more useful as an associate color. The use of red color is prohibited in the dining room, children’s bedroom, kitchen, workplace. The color red is associated with warmth, prosperity and enthusiasm. This color is associated with the element of fire.
2. Yellow- positivity, optimism.
This color is related to knowledge and intelligence. It stimulates the brain and increases the power of thinking. Its favorable qualities are optimism, rationality, judgment, while its unfavorable qualities are stubbornness, cunning.
The color of the Sun giving power is yellow. This color gives brightness, inspiration and happiness. Makes a dimly lit room attractive. The Chinese first considered it the color of laughter. This color is also associated with the earth element. It can be used in corridors and kitchens. Do not use it in bathroom and meeting hall. But excessive use of this color causes headache. Yellow color symbolizes enthusiasm. For this reason it is used more in entertainment rooms.
3. Green – Peace
The color green is related to the wood element. The green color is situated right in the middle of Indra Dhanush. It is a symbol of peace. It is related to development, production, harmony. It brings comfort and freshness. In the room where a person wants to sleep, he uses this color because it is relaxing and calming. It keeps the color stress free. Use of this color in medical treatment room, music school, bathroom is auspicious. But this color is prohibited in the living room because of its merits. Optimism, freedom and balance.
4. Blue – optimism, security
This color is related to the water element. The Chinese consider this blue color of the sky to be a symbol of heaven. At this time the people there consider it to be a representative of truth and ideology. It is a symbol of peace and humility. It is related to spirituality, contemplation, mystery and patience. Its qualities are trust, loyalty and permanence. Use blue to energize prayer rooms, yoga rooms, bedrooms, healing rooms. Do not use this color in the dining room and dining room. This color gives inspiration.
5. Violet- Spirituality, high ideals
If purple has the energy of red, then the optimism of blue also contributes to it. This color is influential, dignified and spiritual for the growth of vitality and vigor. Its qualities are passion, attachment and goal. Decorate the yoga room and bedroom with this color, do not use it in the bathroom and kitchen. This color has a deep connection with the life side.

Its favorable qualities are happiness, concentration and intelligence. Orange color symbolizes sociability. Orange color gives rise to red color. But the yellow color makes him soft. Use these colors in rooms where everyone talks. This color provides mental strength. Decorate the living room, hallway and dining room with this color. Do not use it in small rooms and bedrooms.
8. Golden – self respect, wealth
It is the color associated with the metallic element. In China, only kings and their family members could wear gold, so even today it is believed that gold attracts prestige and prestige. Gold carries optimism as well as positive. It represents good luck in association with the color red.
9. White- Purity, Brightness
This color is associated with the metal element. It is a symbol of new beginnings, purity and innocence. Its properties are cleanliness, freshness, white is actually a state of colorlessness. This color calms the mind. Use this color in the bathroom and kitchen, do not use it in the dining room or children’s room. All colors are either yin or yang and as you all know that we feel happy only when there is a balance of these two in the house. Red, orange, yellow and black are yang and green, blue and white are yin while purple can be either yin or yang. It depends on the ratio of red and blue. If there is more red than blue then it will be yang and if blue is more than red then it will be yin. Balance can be established by using colors of both these types.
Black – intensity, formality, efficiency
Black color is associated with water element. Black color absorbs all the colours. There is no comfort in rooms which are black or white. In Feng Shui, black is considered to be related to money. It is a mysterious and free color. Its virtues are malice, power and allure while death, darkness, evil are its demerits. Sometimes it can be used in the bedroom. Do not use it in teenage children’s rooms, treatment rooms, studios and dancing rooms.
Black and red are considered sensitive in Feng Shui. Black color should not be done on any door and red color should not be done on the doors facing east and west. These two colors should be used carefully, otherwise troubles come on the people of that house.
